This page is for users of Keep it, Sell it, Donate it. You can request deletion of some or all of your personal data without deleting your account. To remove the account itself, see Delete account.
How to request that your data is deleted
Follow these steps:
- Optional (in the app): Open Keep it, Sell it, Donate it, sign in, and delete any project you own that you want removed (project settings → delete project).
- Email legal@keepselldonate.app from the email address on your account.
- Use the subject line: Keep it, Sell it, Donate it: Data deletion request.
- In the message, state clearly whether you want some data deleted or all personal data deleted, and that you want to keep your account (if that is true). For a selective request, name the projects or data types to remove.
- We verify it is you, then complete the request. We aim to finish within 30 days of a verified request.

What we delete
After a verified request for Keep it, Sell it, Donate it, we delete or de-identify the personal data in scope, which may include:
- Profile details you asked us to remove (for example display name), when the account remains open
- Projects you own that you asked us to remove
- Items, photos, videos, votes, notes, tags, reports, and related project content for those projects
- Invites and contributor contact details you entered for those projects
- Notification preferences and push tokens tied to data you asked us to remove
- AI-generated fields stored for those items (titles, estimates, listing text, and similar)
For an all personal data request while keeping the account, we remove project and content data tied to you as far as practicable, and minimize remaining profile fields needed only to keep the account working (for example sign-in email).
What we keep (and for how long)
Deleted from active systems
In-scope data is removed from our live systems within 30 days after we verify your request.
Backups
Residual copies in encrypted backups may remain for up to 90 days, then fall out of backup rotation. They are not used to provide the app to you after deletion.
Security and audit logs
Limited security, fraud-prevention, and audit logs may be kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or de-identified.
Legal and billing records
Records we must keep for law, tax, accounting, dispute, or store billing (for example subscription receipts processed via Google Play / RevenueCat) may be retained for up to 7 years, or longer if the law requires.
If you are only a helper on someone else’s project, we may retain content the project owner still needs. We can remove or de-identify your personal identifiers from that project where practicable.
